Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
Research Articles
Authors who submit an article to the Black Sea Journal of Environmental Sciences must have the following ethical responsibilities.
Authors should not submit an article they have published elsewhere or sent for publication, or more than one article at a time, to the Black Sea Journal of Environmental Sciences. Authors should submit an original article to the Black Sea Journal of Environmental Sciences. Authors should correctly refer to (cit) the sources they have used during the writing of the article in accordance with ethical principles. Names of individuals who have not contributed to the article should not be written as authors, and it should not be suggested to change the author order, remove an author, or add an author to an article submitted for publication. Individuals with a conflict of interest or common interest regarding the article submitted for publication should be reported to the editors. In the event that information or raw data is requested from the author(s) regarding their articles during the evaluation process, they should provide the expected information to the Editors. Authors should document that the rights to use the data they use in their articles, permissions regarding research-analysis, or approvals of the participants they conduct research on have been obtained. Authors should contact the editor to inform, correct or withdraw an error in their articles that are in the evaluation and early appearance stages or published electronically. Authors should indicate that they have received ethics committee approval for research requiring quantitative or qualitative data collection methods such as experiments, surveys, scales, interviews, observations, focus groups, etc. that require an ethics committee decision; the ethics committee name, decision date and number should be indicated in the "Ethical Approval" section of the candidate article, and the document showing the ethics committee decision should be uploaded to the system together with the application of the article. In addition, information regarding the receipt of the informed consent/approval form in case reports should be provided in the same section. Authors should provide evidence in the article that they have been careful about ethical principles during the data collection process (such as obtaining permission from others for the use of documents such as scales, surveys, photographs). Articles should state that research and publication ethics and copyright regulations for intellectual and artistic works have been complied with. If the research was conducted on human and animal subjects, it should be stated that the research was conducted in accordance with international declarations, guidelines, etc. Ethics committee approval is not required from the author(s) for compilation articles. However, in articles that do not require an ethics committee decision, it should be stated in the "Ethical Approval" section of the article that no ethics committee decision is required.

The "Copyright Form" of the articles evaluated for publication in the Black Sea Journal of Environmental Science should be signed by the author(s) and uploaded to the journal’s online manuscript submission system by the corresponding author as a supplementary file. The author(s) who publish with the Black Sea Journal of Statistics agree to the following terms;
- Copyrights for articles published in the Black Sea Journal of Environmental Science (BSJ Env Sci) are held by the author(s), with first publication rights granted to the journal.
- The author(s) is(are) the sole owner(s) of the article, has(have) full right and title to copyright in the article and has(have) the right to reproduce the article for his/her/their own purposes provided the copies are not offered for sale.
- The author(s) must warrant that the work and all figures, illustrations, photographs, charts, and other supplementary material are original.
- The author(s) must take responsibility for all parts of the article.
- The author(s), upon the publication of their work, can publish it in online environments and/or social networks (personal webpages, course content websites, Researchgate, Facebook, etc.). Additionally, the author(s) is(are) to include the note indicating that their work has first been published in the BSJ Env Sci. and they also provide the link to the work as published in the journal.
